First Aid in Healthcare Education

The first aid textbook provides a comprehensive view of first aid within the RVP and ŠVP outputs for healthcare fields. The aim of this publication is to teach students to provide first aid and minimize risks for both the injured and the rescuer. The book is intended primarily for students of healthcare fields, but it is also suitable for the general public interested in providing first aid. The publication also includes instructive procedures for providing first aid with professional and common aids that are available at home or in the field. An integral part are specific model tasks that first aid providers may encounter in real life. Most chapters include QR codes, from which readers can access additional videos and photos of the given chapters. These materials will be continuously supplemented and updated. The group of authors who participated in the first aid textbook includes expert teachers of the Jaselská Secondary Medical School, leading Brno traumatologists and internists, members of the Trauma Team of the Czech Republic and other experts who have been involved in providing first aid for life. The textbook is supplemented by comic book characters and also a large number of photographs.
